The National Center for Search and Rescue and Tirana International Airport sign memorandum on the safety of citizens and visitors at the airport

The Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the National Center for Search and Rescue (NCSC) in the Ministry of Defense and Tirana International Airport (TIA): “For Cooperation in Search and Rescue Operations in the Area of Responsibility of TIA” is signed.
This Memorandum is an important step in strengthening the cooperation and coordination of Search and Rescue (SAR) operations in the area under the responsibility of TIA.

Based on the Concession Agreement, which gives TIA the right and authority to manage and operate the airport, the signing of this agreement confirms the will of both parties to improve technical safety and rapid response to SAR emergencies in this area of the airport.

By signing this Memorandum of Understanding, TIA, and NSCS commit to the implementation of the terms and conditions set forth in this Memorandum of Understanding and to ongoing coordination for any operational changes that may affect SAR operations in this important area of the airport.

This cooperation reflects the commitment of both parties to the safety and protection of citizens and airport visitors, based on the responsibility and commitment to respond quickly and effectively to SAR emergencies.
